I've been a fan of the E. Mono döner/kebab shop in Kentish Town for quite some time now and so I was very happy to see that they had opened another shop in Finsbury Park...especially at a time when I was overly peckish, but didn't have time to sit down for a lengthy meal.
When I walked inside I was welcomed with a warm smile by the guy behind the counter and I felt instantly that this would be good. I ordered the small lamb shawarma with some extra chilli sauce - me like it spicy and juicy ;-)
What I like about E. Mono is that while this is a fast-food place, it's clean, people are friendly and the food is of high quality...plus the taste is superior to other döner shops. Furthermore, I like that they serve their döner as a wrap and not in a pita bread; that just makes the whole thing more manageable and appetizing to me.
My döner was ready and wrapped up in no time and so I was on my way again...fed, happy and on-time for my next appointment. -

I had the large kofte wrap which was tasty and freshly made. They grill the kofte for you and fill the wrap with lots of fresh veg - cucumber, lettuce, tomato, onion - and top with chilli sauce. It definitely hit the spot!
The guys behind the counter are friendly and welcoming. A good little spot for a bit of food. -

I go here with my boyfriend almost once a week after we go to the gym. The lamb shish is awesome and the staff is very friendly. They're also really great people. I left my phone there the other day, and they kept it safe for me until I could come get it. A great kebab and a great neighbour!
